Agreement between Poststugan (C&N SWEDEN AB) and the Tenant

§ 1 Mail sorting

Poststugan sorts incoming mail into the customer’s mailbox three days a week.

§ 2 Limitation of liability for postal operators and changes of address

Poststugan is not responsible for how PostNord AB, Citymail AB or any other postal operator handles mail. Nor is Poststugan responsible for changes to the address.

§ 3 Key and tag at start-up

At start-up, the customer receives a key and a tag for access to the mailbox. A start-up fee of 300 SEK applies.

If the key or tag is lost, or if the tag is not returned when the agreement ends (no later than the same weekday, or the next weekday if the agreement ends at a weekend or outside our opening hours), 300 SEK is charged for a new key and tag.

Key and tag do not apply to customers with a digital mailbox, unless this has been agreed in advance between the customer and Poststugan.

§ 4 Addressing of incoming mail

Mail to the mailbox must be correctly addressed to the tenant, including the mailbox number or any other address provided when ordering.

Only the address provided by Poststugan when ordering may be used, unless otherwise agreed. No changes or modifications to the address may be made without the customer first notifying Poststugan and receiving written confirmation.

Example of correct addressing:
Your Name
Poststugan 1234
211 65 Malmö

Breaches of this rule incur an administrative fee of at least 1,200 SEK.

§ 5 Digital mailbox

Poststugan scans incoming mail to the customer’s mailbox at least twice a week. Electronic copies are then sent to the email address registered on the platform.

This service does not include advertising, magazines, catalogues or similar material.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that both the address details and the email address are correct.

§ 6 Mail forwarding

If the customer requests mail forwarding, Poststugan forwards incoming mail as agreed. The service is charged according to the current price list, with a minimum charge of 69 SEK.

§ 7 Lawful use

The customer guarantees that the mailbox is not used to break Swedish law.

§ 8 Renewal of the rental period

An invoice is sent one month before the end of the rental period. If the customer does not cancel the agreement no later than one month before the end of the rental period, the agreement is renewed automatically. Cancellation must be made in writing to Poststugan via My account or by email to postmaster@poststugan.se.

§ 9 Payment terms and late payment interest

The service is paid in advance. The due date is 10 days after the invoice is sent. Late payment interest is 10%. In the event of non-payment, Poststugan has the right to terminate the service and rent the mailbox to another customer.

§ 10 Customer identification

In all contact with Poststugan, the customer must identify themselves with the password provided.

§ 11 Prohibited items and content

Poststugan does not allow illegal items or mail that breaks Swedish law.

§ 12 Responsibility for mail content

Poststugan is not responsible for the contents of the customer’s mailbox.

§ 13 Criminal activity

The customer may not use the mailbox for criminal activity. Poststugan complies with Swedish law.

§ 14 Misconduct or threats

In the event of threats, misconduct or breach of the agreement, the customer’s service is terminated. No refund is given.

§ 15 Bankruptcy

If the customer is declared bankrupt, rental payments and deposits fall to Poststugan. The customer cannot make any claims for damages.

§ 16 Unauthorised population registration

Customers who register their residence (folkbokföring) at Poststugan’s address are charged 3,600 SEK and reported to the police under Section 42 of the Swedish Population Registration Act (1991:481).

§ 17 Changes to the terms

Poststugan reserves the right to change the terms. Changes are announced by email and take effect no earlier than one month after they are sent.

§ 18 Validity of the agreement

The customer accepts the agreement by ticking the box for the terms of purchase when ordering on the website.

Binding advance payment and no refunds

The service is always paid in advance and is binding. Under the Swedish Contracts Act (1915:218), agreements between parties are binding. This also applies to advance payments. For businesses, ordered services are not refunded. The set-up fee (start-up fee) is not refunded.

Right of withdrawal for private individuals

Private individuals who order via the website have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). The withdrawal period runs from the day the agreement was entered into. When ordering, the customer expressly requests that the service starts immediately. If the customer withdraws within the withdrawal period, an amount equal to the first month’s fee, but at least 300 SEK, is deducted and the rest of the subscription fee is refunded. The set-up fee (start-up fee) is not refunded, since the set-up of the service, with key and tag, is carried out when the order is activated. The right of withdrawal is exercised by sending a message to postmaster@poststugan.se. Orders placed at our office and orders from businesses are not covered by the right of withdrawal.
