Our story

Poststugan started in Malmö in 1999. Since then we have helped businesses, associations and individuals get a reliable address – whether for a new company, a branch, remote work or mail during a long trip.

Our services have grown with our customers. Today we offer physical and digital mailboxes, mail forwarding, returns handling for e-commerce, mailouts and document scanning.

How we work

We follow the rules that apply to postal addresses and identity verification.

Every customer’s identity is verified before the service starts. This protects both you and us, and means authorities and banks can trust the address. Mail is sorted on office days – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – and customers with a digital mailbox have their letters scanned and emailed.

We verify the identity of all customers in accordance with the Swedish Anti-Money Laundering Act.
We offer a special postal address, not a registered residential address.
Uploaded ID copies are encrypted with AES-256.
Scanned letters are stored or shredded and recycled, as you choose.

Can I register my residential address (folkbokföring) at Poststugan?

No. We offer a special postal address, not a registered residential address. Registering your residence at a mailbox is an offence under the Swedish Population Registration Act, and we will close the service if we discover it.
