Sole trader or limited company?
Sole trader – your personal identity number serves as the registration number. So you don’t need to wait – order as a business straight away and enter your personal identity number where the registration number is requested.
Limited companies and trading partnerships only get their registration number once Bolagsverket has registered the company. In that case, tick that the company is being formed when you order. The mailbox is in your name as the authorised signatory until you have sent in the certificate of registration, and you pay the same business price throughout.
Why not your home address?
Your company’s address is visible at Bolagsverket, on your website, on invoices and often on your products. With a business address at Poststugan your home address never needs to be visible, and the address stays the same if you move. Choose a physical mailbox if you want to collect your mail yourself, or a digital mailbox if you would rather read it in your email. If you sell online you can add returns handling.

FAQ about new companies
Can we order before the company is registered?
Yes. Tick “The company is not registered yet” when you order. You pay the business price straight away, and the mailbox is in your name as the authorised signatory until the company is registered. Then upload the certificate of registration under My account and we will transfer the mailbox to the company. We will remind you after 30 days.
How long do I have to send the certificate of registration?
We remind you after 30 and 45 days. If registration with Bolagsverket is delayed, just reply to the email so we know. The mailbox stays in your name as the authorised signatory in the meantime.
Does a sole trader count as a business?
Yes. As a sole trader you order as a business and pay the business price excluding VAT. Your Swedish personal identity number is used as the registration number. See business prices.
Can we use the address on our website and in our online shop?
Yes. The address can appear in your website footer, on your contact page, in your terms and on invoices and quotes. Under the Swedish E-commerce Act, a company website must show the company’s name, address, email address and registration number. If you sell to consumers, the Swedish Distance Contracts Act also requires a street address where customers can send complaints – choose the Street address add-on when you order and you can use our street address.
Can the address appear on our products and packaging?
Yes, as a postal address. The EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requires the manufacturer’s or importer’s name, postal address and email address to appear on the product or its packaging. Your address with us is a postal address where you receive mail and parcels. Some product groups, such as toys, electronics and cosmetics, have their own labelling rules, so check what applies to your products.

Can we pay by invoice?
The first period is paid by card when you order. After that, businesses can pay by invoice.
